Our mission is to create a community where no one feels forgotten, alone, or unworthy of help, and where every person is treated with dignity, love, and compassion. Our Purpose Hills Families was founded on the belief that helping others is not just an act of kindness — it is a calling. Inspired by faith and driven by love for our community, our purpose is to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving families and individuals during difficult seasons of life. We strive to meet people where they are, offering hope in moments of despair, support in times of struggle, and compassion without judgment. Whether through food assistance, community outreach programs, emergency support, holiday giving, encouragement, or simple acts of kindness, our goal is to remind every person that they matter and are not alone. Additionally, we will provide updates to keep our community informed and engaged. At Hills Families, we believe compassion has no boundaries and love has no limits. Originally from Bradenton, Florida, Rev. Eric E. Johnson has served in ministry for more than 25 years. In 2001, Jesus set him free from addiction, a life-changing experience that shaped his calling to share hope with others.

Ashlie Combs is a U.S. Army veteran and clinical rehabilitation professional dedicated to supporting veterans, service members, and military families. A nine-year Army veteran who deployed to Iraq in 2007, she advocates for her community and special education rights. She holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees and lives with her husband, Raymond, and their two children.

Haili Hill is a veteran, wife, mother, and Co-Founder & Secretary of Hills Families. Her life has taught her the power of resilience, faith, and having someone willing to stand beside you when you’re struggling. Driven by her love for God, family, veterans, and her community, Haili is determined to turn compassion into action and remind those who feel forgotten that they matter.

Chris Barron has been married to his wife, Tiffany, for 15 years, and they have three sons: Bryson, Carson, and Michael. He serves as Maintenance Director at Gadsden Christian Fellowship and recently graduated from its Thrive School of Ministry. Celebrating six years of sobriety, Chris is committed to serving Jesus, supporting local youth, and giving back to the communit
